Workout Guidance
Today we’re focused on dialing in the difference between a strict press, push press, and push jerk. Often, people will turn their strict presses into push presses, and their push presses into push jerks. This occurs when athletes start dipping and bending their knees before strict presses, and dipping again dropping under the bar during push presses. During strict presses our hips and knees should remain completely locked out, and during push presses they should stay locked out after the initial dip and drive.
