Let’s hear from the man himself!

1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I started CrossFit in April 2016 but I really to dedicate myself in July, so I would say a solid 6 months.

2. When did you start at CrossFit TILT?

I remember as if it was yesterday. I walked in Monday June 27, 2016 and felt ‘right at home’. Max encouraged me to stay for the 9:30 and do the WOD, but I just gave him my card and signed up. Best move I ever did! I ended up doing the 9:30 regardless.

3. How did you get your nickname G Baby?

That’s a topic up for debate. I was being called G, G-Money, Dr. G, Gangsta G, until I walked in one day and Max called out ‘G-BayBay’ and I think that it just sounded too damn good to be called anything else.

4. If there as a “G Baby” workout what would it be?

WOW. That would be an insane workout. I have many favorites: Surfer on Acid, Fortitude, Lumberjack 20, Click Click Boom, Crocodile Dundee, Rocky Mountain, Run BMC, The Good Life, and Christine to name a few…but there is a trend…They involve a lot of running, rowing, jumping etc… So it would be something like this:

7. Why do you always smell so damn good?

I love being FRESH. Fresh cut, fresh line-up, fresh smell. I’m a cologne connoisseur. I have a different scent for any occasion and every season. You don’t want to know what my collection count is… This time of season: go for earthy, woodsy, natural tones- Hermes- Terre D’Hermes or Calvin Klein- MAN

8. Word on the street is you’re a pretty good chef. What’s your favorite meal to cook?

9. Describe a perfect day in the life of Master G.

So, now I’m Master G?? I’m not so sure about G-Baby anymore! LOL Just Kidding. My perfect day: Pretty much waking up and being thankful to be alive another 24 hours. But to be specific, getting that euphoria post WOD with my crew, an iced quad espresso, bacon and eggs, a nice shower, being with my loved ones, and last but not least making a difference in any way I can in someones life – even if it means a simple smile and wave!

10. What class do you normally take? Who do you like to throw down with?

Now that I have a more flexible schedule Mondays and Fridays 930am Tuesday-Thursday 4:30/5:30 Saturdays 10am. I love to throw down with everyone and anyone who is motivated to be challenged mentally and physically. We’re all in this together! I love all of you! T-Fuel, Vicki, Megan, Jen, Tom L, Delia, Maddy, Bekah, Monty, Denis, Crispy, Shane, Dennis, Sean W, Alex A, Tracy, Andrew(s), Tara, Sam G, Joe W, Mohamed U-Da-Man, and many many more.

11. Any last words to the TILT community?

Yes. I wanted to thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart. CrossFit has changed my life, but more particularly, this community, TILT, has welcomed me with open arms. The way everyone acts together in a friendly and family oriented fashion is truly exceptional. You cannot get this anywhere else. I am proud to be a part of this family and you have made me feel welcome and that make me want to come more and give my 200% every day. It is because of you. Its because of your support that pushes my motivation. Keep staying positive and only see positivity everywhere else. We have something special within. Our coaches are our friends, motivators, and brothers. You can’t get it anywhere else. And please, as this is a community, anytime I can help out with something, don’t hesitate to ask. Thank You!
