Workout Guidance
While we have 40 of everything today, not all sets of 40 are created equal. Our 40 double unders can and should be an opportunity for us to rest and catch our breath. Even though it is a small number, it’s okay to break this into 2 sets of 20. Our dumbbells or kettlebells should be light enough that we can do quick sets of 10 throughout this workout, never going too big or allowing ourselves to get too fatigued. Those 40 burpees represent the midpoint of the workout. We can center our mental approach around being slow and methodical until we finish that set, and then trying to do our second jump rope/thruster circuit faster than our first.
