Burpee Box Jump Overs @ 30/24
Today we have a short day that tests two high-power movements. On our squat snatches, we’re looking for a weight that we’ll be doing for singles. Our weight should be too heavy for us to go unbroken in this workout. Our burpee box jump over height should also be tall enough that we need to pause and get set before our jump, rather than rushing right over the box. Expect your coach to review the squat snatch, and possibly take time at the beginning of class to build to a heavy single in the squat snatch in order to teach the movement and review it effectively. Lastly, it might be beneficial for newer athletes to train the heavy snatch from the hang so that they can work on the skill of dropping underneath the barbell without the added difficulty of lifting the bar around the knee.
